This fascinating booklet investigates the history of traveller communities in Sussex through the photographic work of Hubert C. Visick, Frank Hinkins, Dr Habberton Lulham, and J.V. Haswell.

The booklet was produced by WRVS Heritage Plus and researched and edited by Janet Keet-Black, a local Romany historian in collaboration with WRVS Heritage Plus project co-ordinator, Hamish MacGillivray.

Thanks for such a beautifull booklet. It has made me feel less isolated to know that what is happenning in Australia is also happening in the UK

Re: The Story of "The Missionaries in the Hop Gardens" if you go to the "Romany Road" website and click on "Australian Stories" You will see a photo of a bright yellow wagon which was used by to Catholic Nuns to take the Gosple to the Romany folk. It was imported to Western Australia to become a show piece of a museum. But since the museum has closed it has been in a house yard deteeriating. Kat
