Entertainment for all the family at this weekend event.

WRVS Heritage Plus, in partnership with the Redoubt Fortress and Eastbourne Combined ex- Services, is organising a three-day event at the Redoubt Fortress in Eastbourne from the 25th – 27th of June 2010 to celebrate Armed Forces Weekend.

Family and children's workshops will take place on the Saturday from 10am-5pm and on the Sunday from 12pm-4pm.

Experience the Redoubt’s air raid shelter, sing songs and play games to while away the hours till the ‘All Clear’ sounds. Be hands on and measure out your weekly rations in the wartime shop and learn how to make a purse or brooch from old shrunken jumpers in the make-do and mend workshop.Activities are for the whole family, with something for everyone to do, of every age.

Additionally, there will be a display of military and vintage vehicles at both the seafront and Royal Parade entrances to the Fortress.
