Back and Forth-Childhood and After
Memories as told by the Marsham Older Peoples Project
By Domenico Trillo
Back and Forth is a collection of memories as told by members of Marsham Older Peoples Project at Fairlight Village Hall, East Sussex .
Working over a period of ten weeks Heritage Plus held reminiscence workshops with the group and during that time the group shared and wrote down their memories which were illustrated along with their photographs, brought in images and drawing.
The shared memories in this book are a small insight to life as a child growing up through the war years.
The importance of sharing memories was immensely valuable both to the participants who took part in the reminiscence sessions and also to those who read their tales.
These personal stories are part of our social history and a vital educational tool for our future.
Every day life is changing very rapidly, so it is vital that we capture these memories before the skills and values they hold are lost forever.
