A visit to Worthing Museum and Art Gallery

Portslade Memories Past Group outing
By Domenico Trillo

On Thursday 11th February, due to a very generous gesture by Cornfords, the Funeral Director, they provided a free mini bus and driver to allow the Memoires Past group from WRVS Heritage Plus Portslade to go on a little outing to Worthing Museum and Art Gallery and look at the local history exhibitions there.

The group first had tea in the newly converted St Pauls centre, once a church opposite before looking at the wide array of costumes, photos and artefacts in the museum as well as the new paintings in the art wing of the building. None of the group had visited the venue before, so it was a first for everyone. Frank Parks bought sherbet sweets which everyone sucked and felt nostalgic about!

Thanks to Worthing Museum for their support.
