A Memory Box Of Children's Toys

Reminiscence of childhood play of days gone by
By John Cheves

This Memory Box on the theme of 'Children's Toys' was made by participants on a Heritage Plus activity from New Derby House sheltered accomodation in Eastbourne. The group was facilitated by volunteers Meg Wooler and Marjorie Wotton. The memory box has been displayed at a range of events including Armed Forces Weekend at the Redoubt Fortress in Eastbourne in 2009 and is available as a learning resource for use in schools and reminiscence workshops.

The group also produced a Memory Box on the theme of 'Make Do and Mend'. To see some photographs of this box please click here.
