A very successful exhibition about Crawley war time experiences was held at The Hawth, Crawley between March and April 2009.
After a very busy press launch the exhibition was well attended by members of the community and the show was staffed by two volunteers every day, Jack and Molly Woodhouse who did a sterling job answering questions.
Many positive comments about the exhibition were left in a book including:
"very good learnt a lot of things"
"wonderful brought back many memories"
"well organised information, great"
and "wrvs do some wonderful things!"
Some very interesting articles were brought in to the exhibition including a beautiful parachute tablecloth that you can view here. In addition a number of photographs and stories have been put onto the website and we are expecting to carry out some oral history interviews with others who attended.
