Play Chest of childhood games and toys

A box to commemorate memories of youthful leisure
By John Cheves

The photographs below show a 'Play Chest' that was produced by artist Jo Harrison as a result of a five week workshop she ran in conjunction with WRVS Heritage Plus, with a group of people from St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley.
The chest containes six bags, one for each of the participants in the activity. Inside each bag is a set of cards designed by Jo, with memories from each person of the toys, games and play activities of their childhood.
