Graffiti Banner Intergenerational workshop

Veterans and youth group join together to produce artwork
By John Cheves

In May 2008 a group of military veterans joined together with a local youth group to produce an artwork based around the theme of 'War and Peace'. Over the course of the activity the participants gathered together and using old photographs and their own memories as inspiration, worked together to create a 'Graffiti Banner'. The pictures below are from the workshop, which was run by WRVS Heritage Plus in Crawley and shows the development of the artwork as the sessions progressed.
