Outing to Hove Museum with WRVS Portslade reminiscence group - January 2009

Hove history

On January 20th, participants from Portslade WRVS Heritage Plus reminiscence sessions enjoyed an outing to Hove Museum for a history tour of the museum building and also of a fascinating talk about the history of cinema in Brighton and Hove from local historian Trevor Povey who kindly came along with his erudition to educate and entertain us all!

More tea vicar!

We followed this up with a heritage tea and cake session in the museum tea room where we talked about memories and looked at old photos washed down with gallons of tea and lots of fabulous chocolate cake.
