Mothers' Union, Hangleton

This is a great photo of the Mothers' Union which used to meet at the St Richard's Church on Egmont Road in Hangleton, just off the Old Shoreham Road. The photo was taken round the back of the church. The vicar is rather debonair!

This photo was taken in the 1930s and features Wally and Nancy Kersey's mums amongst others. The Kerseys are a couple well known in Hangleton for their community involvement and with the Get Together Club at Hangleton Community Centre. They used to live up the road from each other which is how they met and they have now been married 50 years!
