Portslade WRVS Heritage Plus Project

Schooldays Project

Did you go to school between 1920s and 1970s?

WRVS ran a schooldays memories group at Portslade WRVS. This met weekly every Tuesday 1.30-3.30pm from 11th March to May 2008

Schooldays: We shared memories of going to school, play time, teachers, school dinners and more! We talked about old school mates; and created schooldays memory boxes.

We spent ten weeks chatting informally in a weekly group, exploring our memories relating to our school days over free refreshments. Five weeks of the sessions were led by Sandrine Case, a local artist who helped facilitate the creation of the schooldays memory boxes. The boxes will be exhibited at Emmaus in Portslade in August and Sept 2008.
