Sidley Group Outing

Sidley Group Outing - Spring 2008

The residents of Lawrence House Sheltered housing scheme who took part in reminiscence sessions decided that their day out should be a 'mystery tour.'

The tour took in many small villages and other rural locations. One of the highlights of the day was the visit to the Parish Church of St. Thomas the Martyr at Winchelsea. This beautiful church is nearly a thousand years old and is also the last resting place of the great Spike Milligan who's epitaph reads (in Gaelic) "I told you I was ill". The day finished with a lovely meal at a restaurant in Battle.
