A day trip to a medieval moated house

The Leo Group's visit to Michelham Priory - Summer 2007

A medieval house and its gardens

In the summer of 2007, the Leo Group paid a visit to Michelham Priory, a medieval moated house dating back to 1229, which is to be found near Arlington, deep in the Sussex countryside. Michelham Priory was occupied by Augustian canons until the Dissolution of the Monastries in 1537. Since then, the Priory has undergone many changes, and it is its history, its well-kept gardens together with a working watermill which the Leo Group experienced with much enjoyment during their visit.
