Outing to Brighton Museum - March 2008
'On the Pull!'

A WRVS Portslade Heritage Plus outing to Brighton Museum on March 6th 2008. Participants from reminiscence sessions on the theme of courtship run in conjunction with Brighton Museum, came to see the results of the research at the 'On the Pull' exhibition.

We were shown around the exhibits by the curator at the Museum, Catherine English, who kindly explained the ideas behind the project and talked about the darker side of romance, including the chocolate box poisoner!

Thanks to Brighton Museum for their time and support and to Nalu Binaisa for her help with the courtship reminiscence sessions.

What a great outing! Brings up lots of memories of lost loves and broken hearts.. sigh. Will definitely be visiting the exhibition.
