Daphne Walton's childhood home

Daphne Walton grew up in the house pictured in Abbots Ripton before coming down to the South Coast to help after the Dunkirk landings when she was worried about her father who was taking part in the landings at the time. This eventually inspired her to become a nurse. She stayed in the area and now lives in St Leonards, East Sussex.
