Why reminisce?

Through Heritage Plus, WRVS aims to help:

Build the confidence and self esteem of participants and volunteers.

Increase opportunities for social interaction, thereby reducing social isolation.

Promote positive ageing, consequently improving the image of older people within their communities.

Support better understanding between different cultures and between younger and older generations helping to support social cohesion and reduce fear.

Support learning and skills development of volunteers, participants and local community organisations. Also support learning in schools (particularly the history and citizenship curriculum) through delivering intergenerational activities.
