Community Groups

Eastbourne Seniors Forum - An independent organisation which gives a collective voice to the over 50s of Eastbourne, helping them to influence decision-makers on issues which impact their everyday lives. It also develops friendships and relationships and provides older people with an avenue to continue to use their skills and encourage them to develop further.

Hangleton and Knoll Community Directory - A directory of services and community groups of benefit to local residents of Hangleton & Knoll.

The National Archives - Bringing history to life through UK Government records. The National Archives incorporates the Public Record Office, Historical Manuscripts Commission, the Office of Public Sector Information and Her Majesty's Stationery Office.

East Sussex Records Office - An extensive archive of documents and artifacts relating to the East Sussex area.

Sussex University Centre for Life History and Life Writing Research

The Centre for Life History and Life Writing Research is the leading centre of its kind in the UK. It offers you the opportunity to research a range of subjects using life history methodologies.

It also offers a unique MA in Life History Research: Oral History and Life Story Documents. Students learn how to design, carry out and analyse life history projects with an option to explore the arts of writing or editing memoir and other life writing forms.
